Why North Shore Nursery

North Shore Nursery School is a small, very family oriented school. The cooperative optional nature of the school allows parents to be as involved as they choose. Parents are invited to participate in the classroom and in the overall running of the school. We have many families in which both parents are working, yet they are welcome whenever they have the time. There are many opportunities to interact with the other families of NSNS through social events, such as Parents Night Out, Ladies Night Out, various school parties and children’s events.

We are a community mainstay that has educated young children in a warm, nurturing environment for over 50 years. Larger schools tend to be more impersonal and parents have limited or no access to the classroom or say in the functioning of the school. Our philosophy is based upon the idea that early education is a partnership between families and school. We want our children to have friends whose parents have a similar commitment to family values, education and community.
